Cairo-based online therapy platform Shezlong has introduced an AI-powered therapy assistant, designed to enhance mental healthcare by equipping therapists with data-driven insights and advanced patient analytics.
Launched in 2014, Shezlong connects users with licensed therapists via secure video sessions, specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help individuals manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.
The new AI assistant acts as a digital co-pilot for therapists, delivering:
✔ Personalized treatment reports tailored to each patient
✔ Emotional pattern analysis to track psychological trends
✔ Progress monitoring with measurable milestones
✔ Enhanced therapist-client collaboration through structured data
Early real-world trials have already validated the AI’s effectiveness in clinical practice, showcasing its potential to improve therapeutic outcomes.
“While human connection remains central to therapy, our AI empowers clinicians with deeper insights—making care more precise and impactful,” said Prof. Mohamed Elsheikh, Shezlong’s Chief Medical Officer. “This isn’t just theoretical—it’s real therapy, real patients, and real progress.”
With this innovation, Shezlong reinforces its mission to make mental healthcare more accessible, data-informed, and effective across the Middle East.
